We had been waiting to try Father's Office for a while now, but something always came up. Having heard that it served Michelin star Burgers, and top burgers in the country in 2023, we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Office Burger, artichoke, deviled eggs, fat shrimp, and the beet salad. So to start, you can not substitute or delete anything in the menu. One of the members in our group was lactose intolerant, and wanted to exclude cheese. The answer was no, choose something else on the menu, like chicken sandwich does not have cheese. We have experienced more than our share of Michelin star fine dining establishments, and when it comes to allergies and intolerance, all will make exceptions. We came here to try the burger not fried chicken sandwich. The burger was not bad, but not the best we have had, it was a cross between short rib and burger 7-8/10. The star was the deviled eggs 9/10. The rest were average 5-6/10. The bartenders were wonderful, but it's not service at your table establishment. You order at the bar, and staff bring it to your table. Service 5/10. There was a lot of hype that it's a very busy place, and the ambiance is nice. The place is like any other gastropub with a long bar. Not sure if downtown location differs than the others, but 7:00 pm on a Saturday and the place was empty. So... would I go back? If I'm around the corner, probably, since my expectations have greatly diminished. Would it be a destination eatery to go to... probably not, I can think of a handful of places on top of my head with a better burger and overall experience.

Many people like Father's Office from Culver City might need to learn their DTLA location. It is at the Garey Building in the Arts District, near Little Tokyo's Metro. It has a modern, industrial-chic design that is very spacious, and it has plenty of seating, which feels less crowded than Culver City. They are a gastropub famous for their Office Burger, but you must order fries separately. They have an extensive selection of craft beer, and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

What a fantastic place for a drink and some phenomenal food! First, parking is on the street, pretty easy, I usually can find a spot around the neighborhood, but you may have to drive a little distance and walk a few blocks, but it's easy walk. I went on a Sunday night about 2hrs before closing, and it was pretty quiet, sat down easily at the bar, which was a nice quartz countertop (pretty sure that's quartz). Got the menu right in front of me behind the bar and on the QR code as well. Lot so good options. I got the Office burger, which was freaking fantastic, got it cooked medium, great flavor and texture, the right amount of chew and flavorful, with a lot of arugula packed inside, so it was lean meat plus lot of veggies between some fresh buns. Highly recommended. I also shared a Prime Hangar Steak, which was cooked medium, came out delicious (more like medium rare in finish), and I complemented the main dishes with some sweet potato fries, which were crispy and came with a nice dressing on the side. For beer, I wasn't sure what to get so our bartender Kemp recommended the Figueroa Mountain Agua Santa Cerveza, it was some of the best beers. I don't like hoppy beers usually so I don't drink IPAs and rarely hazy IPAs, and I wanted something light and refreshing, and this Agua Santa was the perfect choice. Thanks for the great recommendation! Ambiance is great. Casual feel, but also would fit an upscale bar restaurant vibe. Highly recommended for work dinner/drinks or a nice night out for a date. Will be sure to come back again very soon!

This 21 & over gastropub is located in the Garey Building, corner of E. 2nd St. and S. Garey St. in the Arts District, DTLA. Parking can be challenging during peak hrs, but we were lucky enough to find a spot in the "Perfect Parking" alley-style lot @$5/hr on the east side of the building at 929 E. 2nd (although the pub advertises $8 flat parking when you dine with them, we just couldn't figure it out). The area feels really safe. I was hesitant to go here because they do not permit any substitutions and/or modifications to any menu items, but I was extremely satisfied with everything here. We stopped on Saturday evening for dinner, walked right in, and grabbed a table. You scan the menu at your table and go up to the bar to place your order (the menu is also listed at the bar). They'll give you a number, then deliver your food to your table. I tried "The Office Burger," which consists of bacon compote, caramelized onions, arugula, Gruyere & Maytag Blue cheese on French bread accompanied by a "Basket of Sweet Potato Frites" and an "Allagash White" to drink. Everything tasted amazing, the food so fresh cooked to perfection with great presentation. No ketchup and/or mustard, so don't ask LOL. The beer was perfectly cold and satisfying. The bar is clean, spacious, and organized. Closed Monday & Tuesday. Clean restrooms. Overall, we had a great experience at this location.
